Support Tropical Storm Ida Recovery Efforts

When Tropical Storm Ida entered the northeast on August 31 and September 1, record amounts of rain were recorded between New York City, New Jersey and surrounding areas, causing flooding, widespread transportation outage and the loss of over 28 lives.

As of now, the Atlantic District of the LCMS has had reports of 15 churches that have experienced flooding; 20 workers whose residences have been affected; many members of congregations and countless others in our communities.

To support storm recovery efforts in the Atlantic District, we are collecting Flash Mission donations. 100% of the funds collected will be sent to the district's recovery fund. You can give online by clicking the link on this page and then selecting the Flash Mission fund. You can also bring or mail your donation to church (please put Flash Mission in the memo).

Flash Missions are urgent, unexpected needs, beyond our regular support of missions throughout the year.  All of the collected funds are funneled straight to the cause.  Please help if you are able and called to do so!
