LWML - Lutheran Women in Mission

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, also known as Lutheran Women in Mission, is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For 75 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world.

GROWING in the Lord. Women of today find guidance for their lives, encouragement for their walk, and inspiration for joyful service through intentional study of the Word.

VALUING all women. Women of all ages, stages of life, races, locations, and cultures are welcomed, mentored, and encouraged to be active partners in the shared mission of LWML.

LIVING the mission. As the "Face of LWML," women are engaged in opportunities to use their gifts to impact the world for Christ in their daily lives.
