The Missions team is helping to organize the annual St. Paul’s Yard Sale this fall on Saturday, October 9 from 9 AM to 3 PM. The sale will benefit Missions like those we have supported during the last year to address food insecurity, homelessness and assistance to missionaries overseas.
Examples of organizations supported include Capital City Rescue Mission, Code Blue, To Love a Child, Regional Food Bank, Food for the Poor and the St. Paul’s Food Pantry.
We would like to ask for your help in three ways. First, if you are able to donate a small amount of time on either Friday, October 8 or Saturday, October 9, we would love to have your help in pre-sale prep, help with the sale or post-sale cleanup. Please sign up to help by clicking the link below, or you may contact the church office to request your signup.
Second, we are asking for item donations, so this is a great opportunity to clean out your garage or attic! We accept most items, except TV’s, electronics and clothing. Item donations for the Yard Sale can be dropped off at the church building Friday, October 8, from 4 - 8 PM.
If you have TV’s, electronics you want to toss, check out the Saratoga Recycles Day to be held Saturday, October 2 from 9AM to Noon. Other suggestions for clothing donation are the Capital City Rescue Mission or the Salvation Army.
Third, we are planning to sponsor a separate table at the Yard Sale for non-perishable food item donations. Please let your neighbors and friends know, so we can directly support the St. Paul’s Food Pantry in this way.
